Check the SIZE of your coasters first!

I actually love this holder. It’s very well made and beautiful. One problem. One BIG problem. My thirstycoasters don’t fit!! I just purchased the “Fence in the Mist” Thirstycoasters and they are 4.5 inches in diameter. This holder will hold coasters that are 4 inches in diameter. Now I have to find new coasters for this holder and a new holder for my new coasters! Ugh!!

I bought this coaster holder along with the Thirstystone Marble Mosaic Coasters and it fits great. I was a little worried at how easy it would be to tip this over based on the site’s image, but I can happily attest that it is very well balanced and hard to tip over, especially when it’s weighted down by the coasters. There is plenty of felt cushioning on the bottom of this, and inside the holder where the coasters hit the back and the sides. Lastly, I want to note (for those who care) that mine was labeled as made in China despite that this site says it was made in the US (not that it bothers me at all).

Could have been really nice

When I ordered the first coaster holder I was excited to get it. I liked the color and the fact that I could show off my decorative coasters while having them out and ready to use. When I got it I was so disappointed to see that the wood had been damaged on the front and as a fix there was a large wood filler on the front (couldn’t have been on the backside). It was not a good job of filling, it looked more like a large brown piece of gum had been pressed on the front of the holder (finger prints and all). Thanks to Amazon’s return policy I returned the item and reordered thinking this must have been a fluke. Well, when the next one arrived, guess what… Yeah, you guessed it… the same thing. This time it was just a bit smaller piece of brown gum. I decided to keep it because at this point the product didn’t cost enough to consume that much of my time. I put it in the basement. I loved the idea of the design of the coaster holder but it just didn’t work out for me. Unless I can actually see it first I wouldn’t order this product. Who knew I could get 2 products with almost the exact same damage.
